The climate in Santiniketan consists of both hot and cold seasons. The maximum temperature during summers (March to May) reaches a soaring 42°C or above and the climate is dry. Minimum temperature during winters in December to February can go down to about 9°C. Average rainfalls are observed during monsoons in June to September.
Monsoon, winter and spring are the times when Santiniketan is at its natural best. Summer is too scorching. Best season to visit Santiniketan is from September to March.
